The Thorn Tip is used to apply gold or silver leaf accurately and quickly to flat or rounded surfaces.  Not recommended for surfaces with peaks, crevices or high detail.


When gilding on glass, flat or slightly rounded surfaces, the Thorn Tip saves time and gold, since it allows you to see through the screen and around the gold leaf which allows you to place the gold leaf exactly where you want it.  When accuracy is required, the Thorn Tip is the the perfect choice.
